5 MOST AMAZING SPRING 2021 HAIRCUT TRENDS

Updated: May 4, 2021

Hair salons are back in business in the UK and we are all in a rush to get that haircut we have been desiring so badly. But, as a ritual before sitting in front of your hairstylist, the same old question pops up: “How do I want my hair to be cut?”.

To answer this question, I came out with the 5 most amazing spring 2021 Haircut Trends.

1. ONE LENGHT

After months of wildly growing your hair, you may have started to get used to your current length. Don’t be afraid of keeping them naturally long. Once you get rid of those dry ends and freshen up your hair color, you are good to go. This haircut is very low maintenance and it can be styled in many ways: a high ponytails, undone waves or simply air-dried. Even naturally rounded afro hair can finally get a spotlight in the haircut trends this year. You may just want to go for a gentle curl reshape and you are all set. If you want to achieve a one length cut and a healthy hair look, then let it grow!

2. BOBS, BOBS AND MORE BOBS

The bob is back again in any type of forms and shapes: from flowy with blunt textured ends to chopped with a more messy look. One big trend this year is the asymmetrical bob. It can be shorter in length in the back and longer in the front or, for an uneven look, shorter on one side than the other. Whether you prefer a face-framing length, hitting at the jaw line, or longer, mid-neck length, it depends by how brave you are. What matters is that it looks good on any types of hair, textures and face, so you can choose from different type of styling options.

3. MULLET

Talking about chopped, disconnected haircut, the mullet has become one of the most fashionable 2021 haircuts. Very popular in the 80s as a symbol of rebellion, now it has re-emerged after many celebrities like Rihanna and Miley Cyrus have shown how empowering and daring it is. Indeed, this haircut is not for everyone. Even though it has bounced back with a more relaxed, longer length on the side, it kept the short, full, choppy fringe in the front, making the mullet more versatile but still audacious.

4. SHAGS AND FRINGES

For a more wearable, effortless, wash-and-go haircut, one of this year haircut trend is the Shag. Coming back from the 70s, this choppy face-framing layered cut is quite low maintenance since it add lots of texture to your hair, particularly if you have thin and fine hair. Moreover, a curly shag add more body and movement for a flaunt look. There is no shag without a curtain-style fringe which has appeared as another 2021 haircut trend. This fringe that sweeps to both sides works also with bobs and long hair and gives you the benefit of the fringe without the constant upkeep.

5. PIXIE

The famous Audrey Hepburn haircut is a must if you don’t have a lot of time to spend on styling your hair. From half an inch to 3-inches in length, the pixie cut may either be one-length or cut shorter on the back/sides and longer on the top, with or without a bang. Whichever style you choose, it will highlight your cheekbones and frame your face. Very practical and versatile as well as ideal if you want to try a new bold colour for your hair.
